Set the browser's cache for Etudes"
In order for Etudes to work properly (especially for tests
and postings), you must set your browser properly to not use cached
pages. The instructions may vary slightly depending on browser
versions you use, but the following should get you to the right
area.
Please be sure you are using Netscape 4.7 or higher OR IE 5.0 or higher.
Setting the Cache Settings on Internet Explorer:
1. Click on TOOLS
2. Click on Internet Options
3. Look for a button called "Settings" on the window
that opens up.
4. Check the radio box, "EVERY visit to the page."
5. Click on OK and OK again.
(You might repeat the first two, and click on the "delete files" button to clear the cache (temporary files).
Setting the Cache Settings on Netscape:
1. Click on Edit
2. Click on Preferences
3. Click on Advanced
4. Under Cache, select "EVERY time."
What the above settings do is call the most accurate/recent web pages from the server and do NOT use cached (temporary file) stored on your local hard drive.
