From the Bookstore
Bookstore Hours will be in compliance with the rest of the major
student service offices. Starting August 29 thru September 16,
we will be open 9am to 7pm, Monday-Thursday. 9am to 4pm, Fridays,
9am to 1pm (Sturdays) August 27th, Sept. 10th & Sept. 17th.
Buyback is 9/7 thru 9/9 only! Most importantly, the online orders
will be available August 29th. The processing time is approximately
48 hrs. We are currently not shipping as of yet but we will be
working on providing this service as soon as possible. Our website
is www.lamissionbookstore.com
and we have a link to the main lamc website from the store website.
Please make an effort to use the website to submit your requisitions.
It is a great tool. You can update and correct these requistions
on real time and we can communicate right back to you as well.

Since last August, the Tech Department has been segmented into
3 groups: 1) Network Systems Services: Arnel Arenas, and
Derek Law 2) Help Desk Support Group - Juan Chacon, Carlos
Garcia, Jerry Garcia and Eric Rettke 3) Instructional Support
Group - Julie Pepe and
Terry Carter. Reminder: At the beginning of each month, all ccMail
messages older than a month are deleted so make sure that you

Etudes NG - What
is Etudes? It is the Learning Management System used by all
of the LACCD colleges. There is a new version of Etudes called
"Etudes NG" for the next generation with many new improvements.

NG is October 17 - 28. Sign
up now.
Class Rosters - Read how you can access your class rosters,
exclude students, do your census rosters, and grades, all from
the comfort of your home. (click
here). If you do not have DEC access as an adjunct faculty,
or even full time, then fill in the DEC Access Authorization Form
(click
here), and give it to your Department Chair to be processed.
Then you will be able to gain access to your Class Rosters. (PDF

Our Library
The Library provides access to books, periodicals, online databases,
reference materials, information from the internet--tools needed
to help students succeed. Our Library provides 6
different workshops to help students find information to complete
their class assignments.
Electronic Databases can be accessed from any computer on campus and most are available to staff and students from home computers with usernames and passwords supplied by the library. Library Reserve--Books, sample tests, videos and other materials can be placed on reserve in the library for student use. Collection Development--Library welcomes and encourages suggestions for book, journal, video and database purchases. Class reading lists are needed so that the library can acquire titles that are not in collection.
