Staff Development
Minutes for Meeting of 2/10/05

1. Staff Dev will coordinate with the Diversity Committee on Denim Day and the Clothesline Project in April.

2. Richard Rains, Dorothy Mundt, and Margie Long volunteered to organize the Breakfast Awards Ceremony in May which will include giving Pins of Years of Recgnition for years of service at Mission.

3. Sandi Lampert will organize and plan an event "Brain Health", and we will do an Alzheimers Awareness Week in May, the actual event date is May 2nd between 2-3 pm.

4. Faculty Pat Johnson will do a presentation to Faculty and Staff on the uses of the Myers Briggs test.

5. Yolanda Ramil and David Pardess will do a presentation on the Life and Times of Don Quixote, on Quixote's birthday which is April 23.

6. Staff Dev will contact the English Department and Ralph La Rosa about a Shakespeare presentation during April.

7. Vikkie Oddino and her journalism class, along with ASO will be contacted to revive the email publication of "El Timbre" as a form of student and faculty publication.

8. On March 11, 2005, there is a demonstration of the new Etudes New Generation Learning Management System at West L.A. CC and faculty are invited to attend.
